Blast Theory is renowned internationally as one of the most adventurous artist’s groups using interactive media. Lead by Matt Adams, Ju Row Farr and Nick Tandavanitj the group has a team of six and is based in London.

The group’s work explores interactivity and the relationship between real and virtual space with a particular focus on the social and political aspects of technology. It confronts a media saturated world in which popular culture rules, using video, computers, performance, installation, mobile and online technologies to ask questions about the ideologies presentin the information that envelops us.

Mixed Reality Lab (MRL) is an interdisciplinary research initiative at the University of Nottingham. The MRL brings together leading researchers in Computer Science, Engineering and Psychology to research new technologies that merge the physical and digital worlds, focusing on playful, artistic and educational applications.

Adelaide Thinkers in Residence is a project of the Government of South Australia. Mike Rann, the Premier of South Australia, is inviting two or three world-class thinkers to Adelaide each year to live and work, starting in 2003.

The Thinkers undertake residences of 2 - 6 months, in which they will assist South Australia to build on its climate of creativity, innovation and excellence. The Thinkers will provide the State with strategies for future development in the arts and sciences, social policy, environmental sustainability and economic development
